For locum emergency doctors

Keep your locum papers in one file.

Each hospital you are booked at gets a page: what it asks for, and what is still yours to do.

Sent here by your agency?

Your agency sends you an invitation email. Open it and tap the button. There is no open sign-up.

How it works

  1. Upload what you have

A phone photo or a PDF. Upload each document once, and again only when it renews. Reminders go by themselves, 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before it runs out, and on the day; from 7 days, your agency hears too.

  2. Your agency looks at each copy

Agency staff open each upload and mark it “Sighted by” the agency.

  3. Do what each hospital asks

Its page lists what is left, in order. A hospital may still ask for its own form. References can take the longest, so name your referees early; you never see what they write.

  4. Say yes and sign

Read the booking terms and the contract, and sign by typing your name. Your agency sends the hospital what is on its list when someone presses Send.

Who sees your documents

  • The agency that invited you sees your whole file. A hospital sees only what is on its list, for that booking. Any other agency has to ask first, and you say yes or no to each item.
  • You can stop sharing with a hospital. If it has already recorded your pack as received, it keeps that record, as hospitals must; nothing new opens. See who opened your file, and when.
  • Download all your data, or ask to delete your account: sharing stops at once and the account goes after 30 days. A hospital or agency keeps a pack it already recorded, until its own date.

What Lanyard does not do

  • It checks nothing itself. People at your agency look at each upload and the public Ahpra register, by hand. Each item says who.
  • It does not decide if a hospital takes you. Received complete means the hospital has everything on its list. The hospital's own credentialing decision comes after, and is the hospital's alone.
  • It is not a job board. Shifts and bookings come from your agency. Your agency doesn’t use Lanyard? Show them the page for agencies.
